
Remembering, Mixed Media Size - 20" X 24"
This painting was done in memory of a dear colleague and friend, Ken Sevcik. Ken Sevcik was a professor at the University of Toronto and was my MSc supervisor. The three hearts represent his love for his wife, Carmen, his love for his work and his love of living life to its fullest. The script like notation represents the idea of communication, thought and wisdom. The gold and magenta glazes represents the spirit. This painting came to me in a meditation. As of March 2007, this painting has been donated to the Computer Science Department, University of Toronto.

Ancient Discoveries, Mixed Media Size 24" x 30"
This painting arrived from a meditation. The earth tones of browns, sepia,and yellow oxide creates the Egyptian presence in the painting. The gold, copper and bronze elements enhances the Egyptian energy. The pottery and the gauze veil speaks of a civilization of the past. The concept of language and understanding is represented by the Egyptian - like script. Once again the notion of a past civilization is speaking to us through this script.

This painting arrived in a meditation. This painting is a partner to "Ancient Discoveries". The colors of sepia, yellow oxide, red oxide and brown creates the Egyptian feel. The glass eyes corresponds to the eyes of a past civilization. We are able to connect to this great civilization through these eyes. If we really see we can learn. The veil has been taken away, thus the absence of the veil, which is in "Ancient Discoveries".

Hathor, Mixed Media Size - 24 " x 30"
Hathor was the goddess of joy, motherhood, and love. She was considered the protectress of pregnant women and a midwife. She was the patron of all women, no matter their station in life. As the goddess of music and dancing her symbol was the sistrum. As a fertility goddess and a goddess of moisture, Hathor was associated with the inundation of the Nile. In My Dreams, Watercolor Size 30" x 36"
This painting came in a dream. The mixing of the cool and warm colors creates the dream like feeling. The movement of this painting is peaceful but bountiful like the Universe. The moon creates the illusion of night and the dream state.
